The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame Music, book and lyrics by Piers Chater Robinson  Hello There!! Toad here, to tell you about my very own musical (well, not just mine, actually). Moley, Ratty and Badger, my good old riverside chums, and I have really taken to the stage. Not only do we still get into all kinds of jolly japes and silly scrapes, we also get to try our hands at some lovely song and dance, As you will see we've made our very own CD, to give you a front-row seat for our show. Join us, or even better, put on your own production, Young or old, your audience will have a thoroughly spiffing time! Jovially yours, Mr Toad The Adventures of Mr. Toad is a very adaptable musical and can be performed by professional, amateur or school forces. Supplemented by chorus of children, the show is staged with eight players with roles as follows: Mole, Rat, Toad, Badger, Chief Weasel / Clerk, Magistrate / Washerwomen, Policeman and Rosy.
It is also effective with a 'cast of thousands'; this is more suitable for school productions since there is no limit to the size of the Choruses of Animals and Weasels, and doubling of the main characters is not necessary. Some of the settings can be simple front cloths to enable main sets to be changed behind. The caravan should be practical and the car should be the large 'pedal' variety.
